Walking distance from Hopkins Ordinary, this bakery and deli has great breakfast options, including doughnuts, muffins and breakfast sandwiches, and also a selection of sandwiches served on their own bread. They open early and can make food to take with you on your hike or enjoy on-site - - - creekside in season.
Foti's in Culpeper (30 minutes away) offers excellent, creative meals in an understated dining room. Opened by alumni of the Inn at Little Washington, Foti's offers a delicious dining experience. Reservations recommended.
Apartment 2g, 30 minutes away in Front Royal, offers a prix fixe menu on weekends, and their bistro, Element, is open five days a week. One of our favorite spots. Reservations recommended.
